Notice! Watermarks not working

Hey Everyone!

We are posting this notice to let you all know we are aware of a bug affecting our ability to watermark images.

What happened?

Some users notified us that their websites were running very slowly and/or crashing. As we diagnosed the issue, we discovered that the software that watermarks the images has a massive memory leak in the users browsers. To further prevent slow load times and site crashes, we disabled the software. This means your websites will load significantly faster, and there will be no more crashes, but it also means your images are not longer watermarked by our software.

What does this mean for me and my website?

It means that unless you add your own watermarks, your photos are no longer going to be stammed automatically. If you dont automatically watermark your images, we would recommend doing so until we finalize a pernamant fix for the problem.

What is PetRecords.org doing about the problem?

We are aware of this issue and we are working on a long term solution. In the immediate, we will be disabling the ability for people to right click and download your photos on your website. In the long term, we are working on a new software to watermark your images at the time you upload them instead of when someone loads your page. We will keep you updated on what we do as we go.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
